This miner's house was crossed over on Port Hood Island in 1910. My family has been spending summers on Port Hood Island for the past 50 years. It has great panoramic ocean views and is just 5 minutes from the beaches (not oceanfront). It is the perfect place to relax, read and spend quality time with your family. Many renovations have been done over the years. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower as well as an outside shower, great for coming back from the beach.
Linens and towels are included but bring your own beach towels. You can eat outside and BBQ after a long day at the beach.
You want to go on a day trip or grocery shopping? Simply call the Captain to make arrangements and he'll cross you over whenever it is convenient for you (weather permitting and before sunset). You can meet him at the wharf for the ferry (between $60-75 each way for the family subject to change); you can also ask for house pick up (extra $15 each way with the car ride- subject to change).
Une aventure incroyable vous attend sur l'île! Cette maison de mineurs a été traversée sur la glace en 1910. Ma famille passe tous ses étés à l'île depuis 50 ans. La maison a de superbes vues panoramiques de l'océan et est à 5 minutes des nombreuses plages (mais n'est pas au bord de l'eau). C'est l'endroit idéal pour relaxer, lire et passer du temps de qualité en famille. Il y a une salle de bain avec un bain et une douche et une douche extérieure, pratique pour le retour de la plage! Les draps et serviettes de bain sont inclus. À la fin de la journée, vous pouvez faire un BBQ pour souper dehors.
Vous voulez faire l'épicerie ou une excursion pour la journée? Pas de problème. Il suffit d'appeler le capitaine et il vous traversera sur son bateau de pêcheur quand vous le désirez (sous réserve de la température et avant le coucher du soleil). Il peut venir vous chercher en voiture à la maison ou vous pouvez le rencontrer au quai (60-75$ aller simple pour une famille - le tarif peut changer). Vous pouvez demander qu'on vous prenne à la maison (15$ supp, le tarif peut changer).
