The Helm is not a vacation rental. It`s a discovery.
A three-level A-frame on Dyes Inlet where every design decision points toward the water. A two-story window wall makes the inlet the room. A three-story basalt fireplace anchors it. A catwalk leads to two glass lookout rooms cantilevered over the water.
In 1971, the Bremerton Sun called it `a unique waterfront home that invites the outside inside.` The architect had spent 15 years alongside Frank Lloyd Wright. We didn`t touch it, because that was the right call.
Sleeps 10 in five bedrooms: a primary king, a second-floor king with a private water-view balcony, two queens, and a secret twin bunk loft beneath its own glass window.
Outside is the point: private beach, swimming dock, kayaks and paddleboards, firepit, BBQ, pickleball court, and gardens. Clamming, bald eagles, and the occasional orca.
